hurricane Katrina: Belhaven

These are raw, unedited pictures, after my computer is fully up and running, i will edit them and post again, and keep in mind this is only how Belhaven neighborhood looks...some places in Jackson are better, some are worse. 97% of the Jackson Metro area has no power, and we are currently boiling all water. Fondren seems to have gotten some of the least amount of damage, as of this morning, I have water and electricity...but, i am one of very few. also, my office got power this morning, so I am also back to work. Most of the colleges are out until Tuesday, Sept. 6th. Belhaven was asking students to leave if they can, because they don't have power or enough water for all the on campus students living in the dorms. Things are slowing going to be getting back to normal in Jackson with some people returning to work today. But, as you know, New Orleans and the Coast received the most damage...I have some friends up from New Orleans right now, who might be staying for a while.
As for these pictures: Belhaven seems to have taken a beating mostly because their are just so many trees.

as you can see many trees are blocking the roads, and are the reason for the outages.
