the story on my ankle for those that really want to know.

several people have been asking for an update with my ankle, so i thought i would just post it along with pictures here...that way anyone who is actually interested can see and it won't be too terribly boring for everyone else.

Last Thursday, as i was walking to my car (with my computer and an overnight bag) I think I stepped off the curb wrong twisting my ankle, I think that i then tried to correct my balance sprained it after i fell again on my heels. so, I think i sprained it twice, and judging from the bruising all the way up on my calves, i think i must have fallen back onto the curb also...I don't really know what happened since i was in the ground in a matter of seconds.

After elevating my ankle for two hours, I drove (its my right foot, so i had to stay in cruise control most of the way) 3 hours to oxford, slept for 2 hours, left at 4am to drive to memphis. flew to denver....got a wheelchair from my gate, but was in a lot of pain, flew to Iowa...walked around Iowa for what seemed like an eternity with my trusty cane and ankle brace...spent the night, caught my plane at 5am...flew to denver, flew to memphis, drove to oxford, went out bar hopping for 4 hours...went to sleep. drove back to jackson. a few days later decide to get an x-ray....here i am, 8 days after it happened....waiting for my x-ray, but pretty sure its not broken....the nurse said she thought it was just a really bad sprain and that it was the worst brusing she has seen in a long time...so, thats the story with the sprained ankle. It still hurts pretty bad, but every day it hurts less than the day before, so there you go!
